A herd of elephants stops at the shore of Lake Kariba for a drink, and the guests on the sun deck of CroisiEurope’s newest ship, MS African Dream, have a front-row seat.
CroisiEurope Cruises has been a pioneer of river cruising for over 40 years, and today the company offers a variety of cruises above and beyond its roots in Europe. In addition to its ships on the major rivers of Europe, CroisiEurope also has small passenger barges throughout France, ocean ships on the Mediterranean and the Saint Lawrence River, and ships plying the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia.
The African Dream is a 16-passenger luxury cruise ship operating on Lake Kariba, along the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, in the heart of the Matusadona National Park.
The eight-night journey will take guests to Johannesburg, with a tour of the capital of South Africa. From there they’ll travel to Impalila Island in Namibia for a three-night stay in a private cabin at the Cascades Lodge on the shores of the Zambezi River. The lodge is surrounded by wildlife and is the perfect base for a land safari through Chobe National Park. Spotting wildlife is easy when traveling by boat along the Chobe and Zambezi rivers.
Next, safari-goers travel by bush plane to Kariba, Zimbabwe, for embarkation on the African Dream. These days are marked by wildlife viewing along the banks of the lake, water safaris on small boats to islands and inlets of Matusadona National Park, and African sunsets viewed from the sun deck.
The last stage of the journey, a visit to Victoria Falls, is a perfect cap on an adventure to the ends of the earth.
An optional extension to explore Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope is available.
This could be the perfect small group program. Not only is it a trip that your clients are yearning for—it’s also profitable.
